About
Sherri Zysman M.Ed.
For as long as Sherri can remember, she has always wanted to work with children. After graduating from Manhattanville College with two Master’s Degrees in Early Childhood Education and Special Education, she began teaching at public school in Westchester County, NY. Throughout her 10-year career, she has held a variety of positions including kindergarten teacher, learning specialist, third grade inclusion teacher, and fourth grade inclusion teacher. During her career as a teacher she became aware of students’ needs that could not be met.
In 2013 Sherri was trained in Orton-Gillingham and fell in love with this structured, multi-sensory approach of teaching children who have reading and/or writing difficulties. Since then she has worked with students who are dyslexic, dysgraphic, have ADHD, need executive functioning disorder support, have math difficulties, require specialized test taking strategies, and more.
